Q: Why can't I collect if I was partially at-fault and the other party had no insurance?
A: Texas is a comparative negligence state. Fault must be less than 50%. Collision would pay for your damages to your car. Rental Reimbursement would cover providing a rental car.

Q: Do I need UM property damage if I have collision?
A: The answer of No is too simple. If you have collision coverage it will repair your car in either an at-fault or non-fault situation so it could be seen as duplicate coverage with UM. However, if you are not-at-fault, most of our clients don't want any loss that isn't their fault to go against their insurance under the fault protection.

Q: Does a UM claim affect my rate?
A: Texas Department of Insurance allows for surcharges on at-fault accidents only.

Q: Do I need this coverage?
A: According to the Texas Department of Insurance, Liability Insurance is required for all vehicles. However, we all know of someone who has been hit by an uninsured driver. In Texas it's estimated that more than 20% of all drivers are uninsured. Do you feel comfortable without protection against that 20%?
