Councilwoman Dana Philibert was born in Houston in 1967. She has been a Pasadena resident for more than 25 years. Councilwoman Philibert graduated from South Houston High School before completing a bachelor of arts degree from Texas A&M University in 1989. Married to Bill Philibert for 13 years, they have two daughters, Hannah Zoe and Sophie Grace.

As president of the Philibert Insurance Agency, Inc., she is active in both professional and civic programs. She served as president of the San Jacinto Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and sits on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for the San Jacinto YMCA, the Equine Committee for the Pasadena Livestock Show and Rodeo, an Ambassador for the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Pasadena Historical Society, the Pasadena Hispanic Business Association, the San Jacinto Republican Women's Association, she has also served as a H.O.S.T.S. mentor and a Strawberry Festival volunteer. Dana is a graduate of Leadership Pasadena, graduate of NAIFA's Leadership In Life Institute, the Bay Area Aggies Club and has also served as the Director of Communications for Temple Beth Tikvah.

Councilwoman Philibert envisions a city in which the infrastructure is strong enough to ensure prosperity and where city services meet the needs of all. This means improving the streets and sewer lines, demolishing unsafe apartments and houses, strengthening grassroots efforts through the preservation and reestablishment of neighborhood associations as well as supporting the police and volunteer fire departments. Her priorities also include improving Pasadena’s image through redevelopment, improved flood control, increasing ‘ green’ spaces, upgrading youth and senior programs and promoting new business development. The poll site for election day (May 3) for District G is Miller Intermediate, 1002 Fairmont Parkway. Early voting will be April 16-29 at City Hall.
